EMEC – European Meetings and Events Conference in Düsseldorf

The European Meetings and Events Conference (EMEC) takes place from February 13 to 15, 2011 in Düsseldorf. Meeting Professionals International (MPI), the world’s largest meetings and event industry association numbering 24,000 members and headquartered in Dallas/USA, is hosting this international event.

Taking place each year, the EMEC is the biggest gathering of the meetings and event sector in Europe. Around 500 event organisers and service suppliers catch up there on the latest standards and trends in event planning, make new contacts, and discuss current developments such as the changes brought about by social media and the move towards Green Meetings.

The city on the River Rhine extends a warm welcome to its guests on this occasion, for which it can offer the ideal infrastructure: boasting Germany’s third largest airport, Düsseldorf is the international hub in the heart of Europe. Düsseldorf International Airport provides perfect direct connections to 180 destinations on four continents. It is located just three kilometres from the CCD Congress Center, to which excellent taxi, rail and bus services operate. Situated centrally in downtown Düsseldorf, the main railway station is one of the most modern in Europe. More than 1,000 connections a day guarantee first-rate connections to Düsseldorf from Germany and abroad, carrying you to the city sustainably, economically, conveniently and comfortably.
